NOVEMBER 22 | Official Opening Day (weather permitting) The time has come to dust off them skis and boards folks cause the wait is over! Help us kick off another Wild & Wonderful winter season here at the Shoe, get out there and carve up some of that sweet sweet groom!


DECEMBER 10 | West Virginia Ski Free It’s our way of saying thank you and returning some of that down home hospitality to the wonderful people of the Mountain Sate. Swing by the Depot with proof of WV residency and we’ll set you up with a FREE lift ticket for the day!


DECEMBER 15 | Silver Creek Opening Day (weather permitting) Before 4 o’clock the slopes at Silver Creek are known as somewhat of a local secret. Can you guess why? We’ll give you a hint, it rhymes with (snow proud). At sundown the slopes come alive with a different kind of energy! Cue up the party playlist and join us at the Creek for night skiing and epic LED light shows at the Coca-Cola tubing park.


DECEMBER 15-17 | Ride with PRIDE WEEKEND Who will be named Pride Prom Queen? Who will leave Bingo Brunch with a new snowboard? Some questions can only be answered at the second annual Snowshoe Mountain Ride with Pride Weekend. Celebrate with us all weekend long in the Village and on the slopes.


DECEMBER 24 | Village Christmas Celebration - Village Here in Appalachia, we feel Christmas is best celebrated together, so grab the cocoa and gather round as the spirit of Christmas comes to life in old mountain traditions. Join us for our annual tree lighting, carols by the fire, and a visit with Santa of course.


DECEMBER 23 – 31 | Holiday Celebrations Christmas in Appalachia is a time when the rugged beauty of the landscape and the warmth of its people come together to create a holiday season that is truly one-of-a-kind. Pair that with snowy slopes, twinkling lights, hot cocoa and carols by the fire then you’ve got yourself the recipe for some pretty magical memories. Not to brag, but we’ve been told that even Ol’ Saint Nick himself makes a bit of extra time to hit the slopes along his way. (Schedule Is Subject To Change Revised)


DECEMBER 31 | New Year’s Eve Parties Slap on that snow gear, tie up those party boots, and get ready to slide into the New Year. We’re ‘bout to throw one heck of a Hootenanny! Whether you’re looking for that romantic midnight kiss, family fun, or just to dance the night away we’re sure to have the perfect venue to welcome in 2024.


FEBRUARY 3 - 4 | SARA (Southern Alpine Racing Association) The Southern Alpine Racing Association is back at Snowshoe in 2024. This USSA sanctioned event will take place over two days and feature Slalom and Giant Slalom races on the infamous Widowmaker slope. This race is open to all classes, including masters classes. This is a SKI ONLY event.


FEBRUARY 5 | Cupp Run Challenge The first Monday in February is deeply embedded in Snowshoe’s history, holding the place for a time-honored tradition. Join us for one of mountain’s most enduring customs. Challengers will face 1,500 feet of technical gates down the legendary Cupp Run. It’s sure to be an experience like no other. Act quick, this race sells out every year.


FEBRUARY 10 | Uphill Thing and Rando Race Want to earn your turns? Got that split board that you rarely use? Just want to try something new? This is the event for you. We are blocking off a few Silver Creek trails for uphill equipment demos during the day. Come sundown, things get a more serious (but only a little bit) with the Randonnee Moonlight Shuffle; an up and down race for splitboarders and alpine touring skier on Silver Creek ski trails.


FEBRUARY 23 | Rider Boot Camp- Skiercross/Boardercross Camp It’s time to take your skiing and snowboarding skills to the next level. Prepare to conquer a specially designed course that will challenge your agility, speed, and technique. Navigate banked turns, jumps, rollers, and more as you fine-tune your skills. Whether you’re a beginner looking to try skiercross or boardercross for the first time, or an experienced racer looking to sharpen your abilities, this boot camp is suitable for all skill levels. You must be a USASA member to participate in the camp.


FEBRUARY 24 - 25 | USASA Boardercross and Skiercross USASA racing is returning to the ‘Shoe in 2024 for Skier and Boardercross racing. Make sure to check out our Rider Bootcamp for some extra practice laps and tips and tricks from coaches.


March 3-4 | Banked Slalom (Name to be Determined) Everyone’s favorite race/party/snowsport festival is back! The Snowshoe Banked Slalom will test rider’s ability to navigate turns, rollers, and jumps. Whether your racing for gold or racing for fun you won’t want to miss this event. MARCH 9 - 10 | College Weekend | Pond Skim Forget the books, it’s time to hit the slopes! A well-rounded education begins on the mountain. Enroll in our renowned academic courses: Gravity 101, Art of Après, Pondside Physics, A History of Party Fundamentals. While everyone else is Spring Breaking at the beach you’ll be slope side, surpassing them in academic prowess.


March 17 | West Virginia Ski Free Day Montani Semper Liberi and today they SKI FREE too! West by God, “Best” Virginia, the 304; Whatever you may call it, as long as you call it home this day is for you. Stop by the Depot with proof of WV residency and we’ll set you up with a FREE lift ticket for the day!


MARCH 31 | Snowshoe Closing Day Well folks the time has come to bid adieu to another iconic season on the slopes. While it’s always bittersweet to say “See ya later” to Winter, the fun doesn’t have to stop just yet. So today, make every carve count as we send off one season and warmly welcome the next.
