2024 Summer Schedule Snowshoe, WV

April 20 | Raven Golf Course Opening The beautiful Raven Golf Course is kicking off the Shoe’s summer season this year! Play 18 of the most challenging and scenic golf holes in West Virginia on our Gary Player designed course. The Club features a full 18-hole course with various tee lengths, a driving range, a practice green, club rentals, and the delicious Raven Grille. weather dependent


May 10-12 | West Virginia Trail Fest Calling all runners and hikers! West Virginia Trail Fest is a new event this year and a great way to get up close with the Monongahela National Forest and Pocahontas County. WVTF offers 100k, 60k, 30k, and 5k distance events that will start in various places but all ending in the Village atop Snowshoe Mountain. This event is open to everyone from the serious racer to the avid hiker looking for their next adventure.


May 23 | Snowshoe Bike Park Opening Day Lube your chain, pump your tires, and tighten the bolts! Snowshoe Bike Park season is back! Our trail crew has been working hard to get the trails shaped up and ripe for the ripping. From green flow on Whistle Pig to the heart pounding, mind boggling tech of Hareball, it’s time to let ‘er rip! Swing by The Mountain Adventure Center (MAC) to pick up your tickets, rentals, and hop in a lesson to shake the dust off. *weather dependent


May 24-26 | Memorial Day & Property Owners’ Weekend Celebrate the long weekend at 4,848’! We’ll have all our activities open from the golf course to the lake, the bike park to the backcountry, and everything in between. Plus, live music and a spectacular mountaintop firework show.


May 26 | Ruff Race Time to get your paws in the dirt! Well, your feet and your furry friend’s paws. Ruff Race is a chill-as-you-like 5k around Snowshoe for you and your best friends. This course starts in the Village, winds through looming Spruce forests, and ends back in the Village.


June 1-2 | Downhill Southeast Snowshoe 1 Downhill Southeast is no stranger to Snowshoe Mountain, but this year we’re changing a few things. Most notably there will be 2 rounds of racing on our island in the sky. This first round will take place on the Basin-side trails offering a shorter and tighter race course than our classic Western Territory course (which will be featured in round 2).


June 7 | Snowshoe Foundation Golf Tournament Round up your golf buddies and head to the mountain for the Snowshoe Foundation Golf Tournament. This four-person best ball tournament is a fundraiser for the Snowshoe Foundation at The Raven Golf Course. The best part: even if you don’t win the game, you’ll be contributing to improving the quality of life in the region and ensuring that Snowshoe continues to be a special place for years to come.


June 16 | Community Appreciation Day Snowshoe wouldn’t be Snowshoe without our amazing community. That’s why we’re hooking our locals up with FREE Fun Passes on Sunday, June 16! Come on up and enjoy some mountain fun, on us. Includes access to Split Rock Pools, Shaver’s Lake activities, eurobungy and climbing wall, and scenic lift rides. Valid for residents of Pocahontas, Randolph, and Webster counties.


June 22-23 | GNCC TENNNNNNNNNN SECONDS! Perhaps the rowdiest and definitely the gnarliest event of the Snowshoe summer season, GNCC racing makes its return to 4,848’. GNCC features 3 days of offroad racing including E-Bikes, ATVs, and Dirt Bikes. Known as the toughest GNCC round on the circuit, this course features sections of deep mud, slippery roots, steep hills, and high-speed dirt road sections. It is not an event to miss.


July 4-7 | Independence Day Celebration There’s no better place to celebrate the 248th birthday of the United States of America than in the heart of Appalachia. We’ll be celebrating all weekend long with live music, family fun, great bike trails, and, of course, fireworks display that will bring a tear to your eye.


July 12-14 | Downhill Southeast/Go Nuts Race As the final round of the 2024 Downhill Southeast race series, everything will be on the line for this one. This race will take place on the infamous Western Territory and gives the Pro/Cat 1 riders a look at our gnarly World Cup level racetrack.


4848 | July 18-20 A festivacation experience like no other. 4848 Festival is a highlight every summer and this year is no different. Greensky Bluegrass is set to return with slew of new artists including The Flaming Lips and 2024 Grammy Award winner Molly Tuttle & The Golden Highway. Plus, while you're not at the music enjoy a hike, round of disc golf, a few downhill laps, and all the amenities that the resort has to offer.


July 26-27 | Blue & Brews Craft beer? Check. Grooving music? You bet. Mouthwatering BBQ? But of course. Blues & Brews is a summertime favorite, can’t miss event. After a day of mountain adventuring on the mountain, enjoy great vibes, fresh mountain air and fun for the whole family.


July 26-28 | Yoga Power Retreat at Snowshoe Have you ever done a sun salutation as the sun burns off the fog, revealing a beautiful mountain vista? If not, we highly recommend it! You can do all that and more at the Yoga Power Retreat. They’ll have multiple types of classes around the mountain for all different skill levels, designed for you to find inner peace and tranquility. Sessions range from peaceful meditation and sound baths to aquatic yoga and beach yoga.


August 3 | Treasure on the Mountain Who’s feeling lucky? Get a ticket for your chance at over $350,000 in cash and prizes, plus tons of good food, side raffles, and overall fun. Purchase a ticket and donate to the Snowshoe Foundation for your chance to win a new truck, side by side, vacation, and more.


August 9-11 | West Virginia Hillfest The spirit of motorsport climbs to new heights in West Virginia. WV HillFest is a high-octane celebration of car culture, speed, skill, and the sheer thrill of a race up one of West Virginia’s most iconic mountain roads. Participants can expect a thrilling time trial competition, amazing car displays, food, and spirited drives through incredible scenery. The weekend will be filled with the best people from around the world of racing and the most amazing cars to be found. The West Virginia HillFest is more than cars, it is a cultural experience that encompasses a setting that makes an automotive festival a true experience.

August 31 – September 1 | Labor Day Celebration Embrace the long weekend and send off Summer Snowshoe style! We’ll have a full slate of activities on tap for the weekend including adventure tours, live music, fireworks, and more.


September 1 | WV Enduro Series Final Pedal up to get down! WV Enduro Series returns to Snowshoe Mountain for its championship round. This event will give racers a mix of loamy back country single track and wide-open bike park trails. This race will feature 6-7 downhill stages with some pedal transfers and some lift assisted transfers for the full enduro experience.


September 27-29 | USARA Adventure Racing National Championship Canoeing? Maybe. Biking? Probably? Bush whacking? Most likely. Adventure? Guaranteed. The United States Adventure Racing Association National Championships are coming to Snowshoe. Navigate your way to different checkpoints in the fastest time to win. This new-to-the- ‘Shoe event will showcase the beauty of Cheat Ridge while pushing participants to their best.


October 12-13 | Bike Park Closing Weekend This is a bittersweet weekend on the mountain. Fall colors will be popping as we take our final laps of the summer. Bring the crew and close out the season in the best way possible. This is your last chance to hit that gap and celebrate with your mates over a cold beer.
